Alumni Wins Startup of the Year Award
May 28, 2026LEKKI TECH ACADEMY alumnus Chidi Okonkwo won the prestigious Startup of the Year award at the African Tech Awards for his fintech platform PayAfriq. Chidi, a graduate of our 2024 Software Engineering cohort, built PayAfriq to provide affordable cross-border payment solutions for small businesses across Africa. The platform now serves over 50,000 merchants in 12 countries.
